IS THE UK A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY NOW ?

well here we have kids and old age pensioners living below the poverty line, and the prime minister promises 1.4 billion to overseas aid for jabs... the uk is a dumping ground for immigrants, and they all get houses and cars payed for by the tax payer.

i am not racisit but when my country is bankrupt then we need to close the borders and look after our own.

the freeloader imigrants need to find a new place to squat as the uk has run out of money, schools , hospitals, and most of all jobs.

I have often thought of past world powers ( as viewed by WTB$, because there are others):

Egypt: where are they now?

Babylon( Iraq): where are they now?

Persia (Iran) where are they now?

Greece: where are they now?

Italy even: where are they now?

Anglo-America: where are they heading?

I think its just the natural cycle.

And that other countries can have a share of the cake is called solidarity. We mustn't be too selfish, though I accept that it could be anguishing.

i have read articles about peter sutcliffe (he brutally killed 13 women in the north of england in the 70s ) becoming a jehovahs witness in broadmoor and jehovahs witnesses have commented about him being a "changed man " etc and also the man who is serving 5 years for his part in the death of baby p becoming a jehovahs witness , i commented to my husband that his mum (jw ) would technically feel more comfortable having a chat and a coffee with them (because they love "the truth" ) than her own disfellowshipped children !

does this kind of story annoy those of you who are slandered for being "apostate" etc by family ?

and why dosnt it make die hard jws see the craziness of it all ?.

tell me what you enjoy (or miss) the most at district conventions that get (or got) you thru them.. i like seeing what people are wearing, especially the females with super high-heel "stripper" shoes.

but i dread getting beat up and ran over by jws trying to get "good seats"..

for years congregation servants (no elders yet) feared the co visit who wielded a great deal of power over the servants.

if the cs said jump, the congregation servants said how high.

selective memories............ *** w71 11/15 p. 700 a body of elders with rotating chairmanship ***does a circuit servant when he visits a congregation have more authority than the elders of the congregation and can he change things in the congregation, such as times of meetings, the arrangement of the hall, or change brothers in the various positions of oversight?

The circuit servant or district servant should never think himself superior to the “body of elders” .

If they said that in a WT, it must mean that there WAS a problem.

Rutherford 1942 "Don't have kids till after Armagedon...Watchtower 2008 same advice!! Sick!

i was shocked to read in the "witnesses only" study watchtower this stupid rutherford policy was still in place, compare.. rutherfords last book "children" {ironic title} 1942 - page 281 "wait until after armagedon to bring children into the world...it is only afew years...until armagedon...those with infants will have greater woe...it will be a far greater difficulty to care for them during the tribulation...".

so if you were 20 years old in 1942 and waited......till 2011.....do the math.. wachtower 2008 april 15 p.19 "heading: "single and childless for a noble purpose.

" ...numerous couples have decided to remain childless...to remain free to serve jehovah...putting kingdom interests above some of the privledges that go with marriage...jehovah will not forget...there will be a great tribulation...it will be a difficult time for us adults and children alike...".

Wachtower says 97% of teens masturbate....is it realistic that 100% Witness teens don't?

"young people ask" book admits 97% of youths masturbate...to put it into perspective, it's like saying 97% of the worlds population own a phone or a t.v!!

so is it realistic to believe these witnesses going thru puberty and teenage years won't on penalty of death?.

i always thought, if nearly 100% of teens do it isn't it normal?.

And if you did masturbate, you were encouraged to go and tell an elder!

I wonder how many did that.

And for those who did, how many sleepless nights they had beforehand.

The Eldership for Dummys manual does state that masturbation is not porneia, so at least you wouldn't be DFd for it.

Good analysis Cadellin.

In the first case, if a writer has such a limited knowledge, he shouldn't be writing about this subject in the first place.

I would say it is the first case and that the writer wouldn't even try to look deeper into the meaning of such criticism. If he did, he might just be convinced that the critic is right

I have just left my parents home and the JW's about six months ago and have found it hard to get over.

i finally desided to leave the witnesses therefore my family and basicly everyone and everything i had ever known.

i was 19 about to be 20 and i had just finished my first semester at a community college.

i was shocked at the respons of my father and others about me attending college at first they were ok but behind my back they were pretty much betting on my failier.

Even though you were undoubtably scared, it seems you have already taken many difficult and necessary decisions. You are very brave. Do you realize that?

You haven't seen your mother for a long time. Do you think you would like to find her? Would that do you both good?

Its true, that our never JW parteners cannot pôssibly fully understand what its like for us. Does your partener read this forum? That might help her understand that there are thousands of people who have the same trauma as you .

Things can and will get better. Good luck for your future.
